M&P .40 Range Review
I took my M&P to the range for the first time and shot 150 rounds of federal premium FMJ through it. I was amazed at how clean the pistol stayed. So far I love this gun. new for 2017: Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 range report and recoil shot

    Ive got sks tactical with pistol grip and folding stock all polymer frame , granted its a cheap norinco chinese made sks but with fixed 20 and 30 rd mags with good springs ànð a lil maintenance and it functions no issues, that Extra length on barrel really adds to the accuracy and all around in the 90s they're the poor mans draco or ak47 , they worked were reliable and were sold around. $200-$300 back then and got job done. There cheap affordable and became so readily available they were banned in chicago due to cheap price easy to use and reliable ,and all the gangs in the city had at least 1 or 2 of em ready to go especially the snipers in the highrise project buildings like cabrini ya they. Were deadly

    Everyone says it’s ugly. I say it has its own recognizable unique look. Nothing ugly about it. Reliable and accurate. Made in the USA and lifetime warranty. If you want it to look like a Beretta M9 and only cost $150 new, sorry about your luck. That’s my $.02 and I’m stickn to it. Oh and BTW, THE WARRANTY ain’t no bull shit. They honor it and on return you get a complimentary magazine...FREE... as an apology or thank you or whatever. Hats off to HI POINT!

    Good little pistol. I purchased mine a year ago. It is smaller than my 380 so easy carry in pocket. I cut a back pocket off an old pair of jeans to use as a pocket holster. It's just a liner for your pant's pocket. It's never jammed and that's shooting a mixture of old dirty crap ammo as a test. Don't trust the safety. Carry with safety off and no rounds in the chamber.

    Mine turned out to be a very solidly built revolver that's built like a tank. The lockup and timing is good. It's a very hefty wheel gun and pleasant to shoot when using 44 special ammo. The overall fit and finish is really good. I like the grip a lot just the way it comes from the factory. This is definitely one of those guns that can last a lifetime. A very sexy revolver

    I have M27 with 2” barrel that started these series called “Pioneer” back in 1966. Model 33 is part of the series and should have 3” barrel.

    • @petewick4888
      @petewick4888 2 місяці тому

      @@gracedagostino5231 Yes, the model number is not on the revolver. First M27 was made in 1966, they didn’t make M27 in 1950’s. I did the research using russian website that has lots of information. Rossi M27 had plastic grips with large “Rossi” logo and it was imported to US by the Firearms Int’l Corp (only) and came in a special case with instructions manual that covers three different Rossi models. I have the case and manual. My M27 has two stamped numbers - one below the handle (4-digits) and one inside the frame (3-digits). They all start with 5.

    • @petewick4888
      @petewick4888 2 місяці тому

      @@gracedagostino5231 Nice. Mine looks the same. If you have 2” barrel and it’s 38-special it must be M27. I found no info about Rossi making the same caliber 2-inch revolvers before 1966. I was reading somewhere that Rossi serial numbers during 1960’s didn’t make much sense. They were making M27 together with other models that had the same parts without tracking what goes where. Who knows, maybe for your M27 they used a handle made for Rossi M13 (“Princess” series) revolver that was produced from 1960 and had a different caliber and barrel (.22LR and 3-inch). First M27’s were imported by Firearms Int’l Corp only for a few years (till end of 60’s), so I think our models had to be made between 1966 and 1968. Everything after that had wooden grips and imported mostly by “Interarms Alexandria, Virginia” and others.

    • @petewick4888
      @petewick4888 2 місяці тому

      I used to read about Rossi making several hundred of revolvers each month. If we assume they made 8,000 revolvers each year since 1966 - your M27 could be made three years later (in 1969) with number 23K. I also saw info that Firearms Int’l Corp stopped importing from Rossi in 1970, because they went out-of-business and were sold to another importer called “Garcia”, who started importing Rossi revolvers together with “Interarms”.

      @@gracedagostino5231 Your father had a good taste. I bought mine used for $150 around 1998 in Chicago. Saw it in a gun shop and fell in love with it. Mint condition. I thought it was new until I saw the box and sales person said he didn’t know anything about this revolver. The original instructions manual I purchased later on the internet for about $10. I still see them for sale on the ebay for much more. When these were new they could be ordered for $55.50 from the Firearms Int’l Corp catalog.

    Well I'm spoiled for life. I have 3 revolvers and 20 pistols and 6 1911s. I figured I needed a few more revolvers so I ordered a 608 which I didn't have an opportunity to fire yet. I also bought a colt anaconda, 6 inch. Today I shot both. 8 rounds through the 608 then 18 through the colt. I don't care if I ever shoot the 608 again. I realize the colt is much more expensive but like I said, I'm spoiled. No desire to shoot the taurus again. Comparatively wolds better.The colt isnt merely a lot better, it's freaking awesomely ridiculously, 180 degree amazingly better. Next will be the Python, then a king cobra. I'm 72 and need to own some real revolvers before I kick off. If anyone wants it it's available.
